Cultivate peace and compassionate awareness in beautiful Ladd
Arboretum’s Evanston Ecology Center. This mostly silent day of
mindfulness will include sitting and walking meditation and talks
by teachers Jack and Laurie Lawlor from Evanston-based Lakeside Buddha
Sangha, a twenty-year-old meditation group founded in the tradition of
Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Zen monk and writer.
Registration fee of $44.00
Breakfast snack and vegetarian
lunch included.
Meditation instruction will be provided.
Please
bring a sitting cushion or bench. Chairs are available.

DIRECTIONS:
The Evanston Ecology Center(EEC) has ample parking and is located in
beautiful Ladd Arboretum in northwest Evanston, four blocks west of
Green Bay Road on McCormick Blvd. The EEC is served by Metra
(Central Street Station) and the CTA (Noyes Street Station). From
Chicago by car: Take Kennedy Expressway to Edens (94 west) toward
Milwaukee. Exit at Dempster Street east. At McCormick Blvd,
turn left (north) for less than mile to Bridge Street. EEC is at corner
of Bridge Street and McCormick. From Milwaukee: Take 94 east
toward Chicago. Exit 34A forUS-41 Skokie Blvd. Slight right
at Skokie Blvd., left at Lake Ave., right at Green Bay Road, right at
McCormick. EEC is on your left at intersection with Bridge Street.
